Birds. It’s all about the birds.

In early March 2021, I witnessed bird murmurations for the first time. I had my camera with me, and took as many photos as I could. I had never seen so many birds at once. It was life-changing. Words can’t describe the scene, but I am now trying to express what I saw through drawings and prints. For nearly two years, I have been making drawings of large bird gatherings, and preparing copper plates and woodblocks for future prints. In 2023, I plan to print many images, as I gather more material during Spring migration. Birds have given me an endless source of inspiration.
